Question…
Do whey protein shakes have any bad side effects to females?
I’m trying to help my girl, 22 years old, 45kgs 5 ft 2″ to gain some weight. I don’t know any supplements that’s effective. But is it really okay for her to drink whey protein shakes-the ones we use for working out, to gain weight? No bad side effects? Thanks in advance.

Eat only hungry and that too not more than three times a day. Eat nourishing and not junk food. Chew each morsel of food at least 32 times. U will notice how beautifully ur brain controls and lets u know that enough is enough. Drink only water in between.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly.
The practice of food intake and light exercise regime will enable u to achieve ur ideal weight in a reasonable time effortlessly.

There’s a little evidence that a high protein diet might cause problems (increased risk of osteoporosis) in post-menopausal women – but no likely problems in a 22 year old, aside from the stomach upsets they can cause in anyone
However, whey protein shakes probably aren’t the best way to gain weight.
The shakes (assuming they’re just whey, and don’t include mass gainers like dextrose) aren’t that high calorie, and unless your girl’s doing pretty heavy weight training, a high protein diet won’t bring any particular benefit. They’re not that tasty, either.
A better option would be to eat more food, more often (6 healthy but calorie high meals a day, for example, and perhaps have a smoothie or two per day as well). The occasional protein shake would be fine, esp if she’s working out, but I wouldn’t rely on them too much. That way she’ll eat a more balanced diet, as opposed to relying on shakes.
Good luck – man, 45kg is light…

Whey protein shakes are fine for everyone so long as you use a reputable make. Your GF will benefit from the extra protein, if you can get a very good one with lots of nutrients and minerals then even better. Your cells are re-built by intaking protein so there are only good side effects.
I would suggest one that is specifically designed for what you want like formula1 from herbalife, they have been around for years and lead the way in protein related products. We are doing research at the moment at uni on this subject and they have all the top nutritionists in the country who work for them. try myhealthabcmall.com, it was the first site that popped up when we looked for their range.
It is the safest and probably the most effective way to gain weight as well as eating three times a day. Make sure she is getting plenty of vitamins, fruit and veg each day too. Good luck.
